In Ovar you will find some of the best beaches of the north of Portugal. Also, its estuary of 45 km long offers a wide range of entertainment activities for tourists. And, specially, in this city you can enjoy either the regional gastronomy or the national one.

40 km away to the north of Ovar is located the city of Oporto, which is the second most important city of Portugal. The main tourist attractions are the historical centre, the Ribeira district, wineries and its tasting and the Duero River. The city also offers a wide and excellent selection of restaurants where you can taste the typical Portuguese food.


42 km away to the south of Ovar is located the city of Aveiro, known mainly because its canals. Its three canals divide the city into two parts. The northern part of the main canal leads to the old houses of former fishermen and to at the south you can find the historical buildings of the city. Aveiro also stands out for its striking houses decorated with an Art Nouveau style. Do not forget to taste its typical desserts, called “ovos moles”.
